"content": "<p><strong>WHAT IS DENGUE & HOW IT IS TRANSMITTED TO HUMANS?</strong></p>\r\n<p>Dengue is a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes, particularly the Aedes aegypti mosquito. It is common in tropical and subtropical regions and is a significant public health concern. Dengue is a viral illness caused by the dengue virus. It is primarily spread through the bite of infected Aedes mosquitoes, especially Aedes aegypti. The mosquitoes typically breed in and around living areas in standing water, such as in flowerpots, discarded tires, and containers.</p>\r\n<p>These Aedes mosquitoes are the main carriers of the dengue virus. They are most active during the day, especially in the early morning and late afternoon when they bite the most. The virus moves through the blood of people who are infected, and when mosquitoes bite them, they can catch the virus. After that, infected mosquitoes can pass the virus to other people when they bite them.</p>\r\n<p>Although many cases of dengue fever are not too serious and get better on their own, there are more severe types of the illness. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) and Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS) are very serious and could be life-threatening. These complications can cause bleeding, leaking of fluids, and problems with organs in the body. It’s important to be aware of these more severe forms and seek medical help if needed.<br /><br /><strong>SYMPTOMS OF DENGUE</strong></p>\r\n<p>Dengue fever, a viral warrior, brings with it a spectrum of symptoms, ranging from mild to intense. Here’s a sneak peek into the key indicators:</p>\r\n<p>1. Sudden Onslaught of High Fever:</p>\r\n<p>A sudden spike in body temperature, soaring beyond 104°F (40°C).</p>\r\n<p>2. Severe Headache:</p>\r\n<p> An intense throbbing in the forehead region, demanding attention.</p>\r\n<p>3. Eyes Aflame:</p>\r\n<p>Experience discomfort and aching behind the eyes, especially during eye movements.</p>\r\n<p>4. Breakbone Fever:</p>\r\n<p>Joint and muscle pain, like a tempest wreaking havoc, earning the nickname “breakbone fever.</p>\r\n<p>5. Rash Revelations</p>\r\n<p>A visual tale unfolds a few days after the fever kicks in – a rash making its debut on arms and legs.</p>\r\n<p>6. Nausea and Vomiting Vibes</p>\r\n<p>The queasy sensation sets in, accompanied by episodes of vomiting.</p>\r\n<p>7. Fatigue Frenzy</p>\r\n<p>Extreme tiredness takes center stage, leaving you feeling drained and worn out.</p>\r\n<p>8. Subtle Bleeding Clues:</p>\r\n<p>In some instances, subtle signs of bleeding emerge.<br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>WHY DENGUE DECREASES BLOOD CELLS & HOW IT IMPACTS THE BODY</strong><br />During the dengue fever, platelet levels decrease because the virus suppresses the bone marrow, where platelets are produced. The virus directly affects blood cells, causing damage to platelets. Additionally, antibodies generated in response to the infection contribute to the destruction of a significant number of platelets during dengue fever.</p>\r\n<p>The way the body defends itself against dengue can also lead to lower platelet levels. But it’s important to know that in most cases low platelets are due to dengue. The number of platelets can go down significantly. It’s crucial to get treatment right away to stop the symptoms from getting worse. Platelet levels usually start dropping around the 4th or 5th day of the illness, making the person feel weak and tired all day long.<br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>TREATMENT FOR DENGUE</strong></p>\r\n<p>There is currently no medicine or vaccine to treat Dengue or Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. No specific medication exists for curing a dengue infection.</p>\r\n<p>For Dengue Shock Syndrome, the following treatment is taken</p>\r\n<p>1. Replacing lost plasma.</p>\r\n<p>2. Fixing problems with electrolytes and metabolism.</p>\r\n<p>3. Giving a blood transfusion when needed.</p>\r\n<p><strong>FOOD TO BE TAKEN TO INCREASE BLOOD CELLS</strong><br /><br /><strong>Papaya Leaf Juice:</strong></p>\r\n<p>Take fresh papaya leaves (remove veins), mix them with a bit of cold water, grind, and filter. Drink 10 ml of this juice four times a day. It helps reduce fever in five days. You can keep drinking it for two more days even after the fever is gone. Papaya leaf juice is a homemade natural remedy.</p>\r\n<p><br /><strong>Hill Neem Leaf Juice:</strong></p>\r\n<p>Take fresh Hill Neem leaves, mix them with a bit of cold water, grind, and filter. Drink 10 ml of this juice two to three times a day. It helps reduce fever in five days. You can keep drinking it for two more days even after the fever is gone. Hill Neem leaf juice is a traditional homemade natural remedy.<br /><br /><strong>Nilavembu Kudineer:</strong></p>\r\n<p>Boil 10 grams of Nilavembu Kudineer Powder in 100 ml of water until it reduces by half, then drink 50 ml two times a day – in the morning and evening. Make a fresh preparation for each dose. It helps reduce fever in five days. You can continue drinking it for two more days even after the fever is gone. They contain plenty of iron and essential nutrients that naturally boost platelet numbers.</p>\r\n<p>Papaya is packed with beneficial components like folate, papain, chymopapain, potassium, and fiber. It not only increases platelet count but also strengthens the immune system.
